For each movie that we review we’ll be using a rating system based on, well, brains. Seems appropriate, right? 5 brains means it’s a super awesomely amazing movie and 0 brains means it sucks. Who needs thumbs or stars when you have brains?

In addition to the brains rating we’re going to be taking note of the following common elements found in most, if not all, zombie movies:
Zombie Speed: Slow zombies? Fast zombies? Somewhere in between? Olympic-style hurtle jumping zombies (yes, I’ve seen a movie that has these)?
Cause of Zombie Outbreak: Infection? Aliens? Drugs? Hypnotoad?
Best Zombie: While all good zombie films have loads of normal dead people getting up and walking around, most also have those certain zombies that really stand out due to their costuming or actions.
Most Creative Weapons: You need to be able to improvise to survive a zombie apocalypse.
Best Death: We’ve all seen a horde of zombies overtake a person and eat them… but there are so many more epic ways to die!
Sub-Genre: Of course if there are zombies it’s likely to fit into the “horror” genre but we’re going to delve a bit deeper. Is it a comedy? Was it supposed to be funny or was it just so bad it made us laugh? Is it a super serious dystopian story? Hell, maybe it was a western (I know of at least 3 of these).
That’s how Zombie Marathon works for now but we may add new things as we go!
